Your painting illustrates that summer is almost over and the warm glow of autumn late afternoons are with us once again.
ReplyDeleteThanks Caroline--yes this season is bittersweet. Actually the first time I visited Scotland was in September and recall not only the beautiful sunny weather but the vivid colours--we spent a bit of time in Ullapool(SP)as well--what is the name of your friend's guesthouse?
ReplyDeleteHer guest house is called Ardvreck and is located at the top of the hill above Ullapool. I am hoping to go over for a night during October. I just love that location. Did you know there is a highland painting school over past Loch Carron. David Tress who is a wonderful artist will be teaching in October, wish I could go but would need to save up for a good long time. His work is just awesome I think you would love his style of free expression in oils.
